Cedar Lanes Open 2007 - Fresno, CA

Just this past weekend Flor and I decided to hit up the Cedar Lanes Open in Fresno, CA. I hadn't bowled in a PBA Regional in almost three months. The last was the regional in Dublin the first weekend of August so I was really excited to do some bowling. The practice session went really well for me and the warm up went really well for me. I was very accurate and struck often but once the first game started things just started unraveling. I started off with a strike and a spare and then I opened on a split and then fouled and and opened in the fourth. The next few frames I threw some good shots and got some taps and I ended up the game with a 174 even though I buried 9-10 shots in the pocket. It was a disappointing game and probably got into my head too much. I ended the day trending lower and lower and my final score was the worst I've done since August 2006.
The bowling itself wasn't that bad though. I did manage to have some fun and spent some quality time with my family. It was the first time they got to see Flor since the engagement so we were a happy bunch the whole weekend. I even managed to forget my bowling shirts at home and we had to frantically hit up Target's craft section and a thrift store to manufacture a bowling shirt for me to wear. It was crazy. Took us about 45 minutes but it ended up looking great. It turned out to be the cheapest bowling shirt I've ever owned and it still looks great!
Anyway, in the end Ross Packard won the tournament averaging 226.1 over 20 games. I on the other hand averaged 178.75 over 8 games and finished in 84th of 92 places. My individual games are listed below.
